Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro can help you to create and manage your listings more quickly and efficiently. You can use them for many of your selling tasks, such as relisting items, creating similar listings based on existing ones and creating or editing multiple listings at one time.
Once you subscribe to Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro, the tool appears in the selling section of My eBay.
The Inventory view in Selling Manager Pro offers additional features for listing products that you sell, including advanced features for automating the listing and relisting process. If you subscribe to Selling Manager Pro, we recommend that you review how to create product listings and templates.
If you don't use Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro, you can still relist your items, both manually automatically. Learn more about relisting your item.
Creating new listings
Once you create a listing, it appears in your Selling Manager Active or Scheduled view in My eBay, depending on its start time. You can manage all of your active and scheduled listings in Selling Manager.
Selling Manager Pro subscribers: You have additional inventory features for listing products based on listing templates.
Creating new listings in bulk
When you want to create multiple listings with similar settings, but don't have an existing listing to copy, you can create listings in bulk.
To create multiple listings at once:
In My eBay, go to Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro Drafts, Active, Sold, or Unsold view.
Click Create listing and then select Multiple listings.
On the Start new listings page, enter the number of new listings you want to create.
Enter the information that's the same for all the listings you’re creating. For example, you might want to use the same category, shipping, and payment information for all of the listings.
For each listing, enter the values that are unique for that listing in the Quick edit
pane. (If you don't see the Quick edit pane, open it by clicking one of the icons next to Customise columns).
When you're done entering the information for all the listings, click Submit all.
Editing multiple listings
The Quick edit pane allows you to edit multiple listings in the bulk listing tool withoutopening each one. You can make changes to fields such as title, subtitle, item description, and item price by scrolling through your active listings and typing in the updates you want to make. For other details, such as business policies, you can click Edit next to the field you want to edit. You can scroll down one listing at a time in the table, make changes in the Quick edit pane, and then move on to the next listing by scrolling to the next row in the table.
To show or hide the Quick edit pane, click the appropriate icon next to Customise columns.
In addition to using the Quick edit pane you can:
Edit fields directly in the table in the bulk listing tool. For some fields, such as title and price, you can edit directly in the field. For other fields, such as item specifics, you can click the field's Edit link. To navigate across the fields in the table, use the horizontal scrollbar.
Edit in bulk: Select the copies you want to edit, click the Edit drop-down menu, select the field you want to edit, and then select whether you want to edit the field for all the listings you selected or for one listing at a time. Then make your changes and click Save.
You can customise the table in the bulk listing tool in several ways:
Customise the columns in the table: Click the Customise columns link. Then add, remove, or rearrange columns. You can also change the default sort order of the rows within the columns.
Change the table layout: Click the icons next to the Customise columns link to display the table in full view, in a maximised version of the Quick edit pane, or with the standard Quick edit pane.
You can create drafts to save multiple listings in various stages, so that you can come back later to fill in more information or add photos. You can also select multiple drafts and finish them quickly in bulk. After you create a saved draft, it will stay in the Draft listings view for up to 30 days.
Create a draft listing. If you like, you can also create drafts in the bulk listing tool when you use Relist or Sell similar and then save your drafts by clicking Save and continue
later in the bulk listing tool. Your drafts appear in the Draft listings view.
When you're ready to complete your listing, go to the Draft listings view in Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro and do one of the following:
In the Action column of a draft, click Complete and select Complete draft to finish it.
Select one or more draft listings and click Complete drafts. Then finish the drafts and publish them by clicking Submit all in the bulk listing tool. As soon as you publish a draft, it's removed from the Draft listings view.
Understanding the difference between Sell Similar, Create a copy and Relist
Although Sell Similar, Create a copy, and Relist all create new listings based on existing ones, you might use them in different situations depending on your needs.
When to use
Use when you have an existing listing that you want to make the 'starting point' for a new listing.
Your new listing will be pre-filled with the same text and options you selected before.
You can change the text and options to fit the item you're selling.
Create a copy
Use when you want to create multiple listings for similar items, instead of just one.
You can change the text and options for each of the copies to fit each of the similar items you're selling.
Use when you want to sell the same item again.
Your new listing will be pre-filled with the same text and options you selected before.
Since you're selling an identical item, buyers who view the old listing will see a link indicating that the item has been relisted.
Tip: If the Relist icon () next to the listing is grey, the listing is eligible for our free relist credit. Only the first relisting of an auction-style listing is eligible. Fixed price listings don't qualify for insertion fee credits.
Listing similar items
When you list a similar item, a copy of the listing appears in the Selling Manager. You can submit the new listing as-is, or make changes.
To list a similar item:
Find the listing in your Sold or Unsold view.
From the Action drop-down menu, select Sell Similar.
Review the details of the new listing.
When you're finished making changes, click List Your Item.
To list multiple similar items at once:
Find the listings in your Sold or Unsold view.
Tick the boxes next to the listings you want to copy.
When you're done making changes, click Submit all to list your items.
Creating copies of listings
In My eBay, Selling Manager, or Selling Manager Pro, select your Active, Sold, or Unsold view.
Select the listings you want to copy, then click Sell Similar. This opens the bulk listing tool, with draft copies of the listings you selected.
Select the copy you just created, click Create a copy, and then enter the number of additional copies you want to create. For example, if you want to create a total of 20 copies, enter 19 to indicate that you want to create 19 copies in addition to the one you just created.
If the original listing that you copied uses information from the eBay catalogue, consider copying the catalogue information. Do this only if the item you're listing is exactly the same as the original. If it isn’t exactly the same, edit your copies to reflect any values that are different. You can edit in a variety of ways:
Edit fields directly in the table.
Edit in bulk: Select the copies you want to edit, select the field you want to edit from the Edit drop-down menu, and then select whether you want to edit the field in bulk for all the listings you selected or for one listing at a time. Make your changes and click Save.
Using the Quick edit pane, edit fields. To show or hide the Quick edit pane, click the appropriate icon next to Customise columns.
When you're done editing, click Submit to publish your copied listings.
Note: The fields that appear in the Quick edit pane are linked with the highlighted row in the table. Select a different row to view and edit the fields for that listing in the Quick edit pane.
You can relist items in the Sold or Unsold view.
To relist a single item:
Find the listing in the Sold or Unsold view.
From the Action drop-down menu, select Relist.
To relist multiple items:
In the Sold or Unsold view, select the listings you want to relist.

You can save time by setting up your item to be automatically relisted if the listing ends without a sale.
You can choose whether to:
Automatically relist an item once
Automatically relist an item continuously until it sells
When you automatically relist an item, regular listing fees apply.
To assign automation rules to listings:
Find the listings in the Active or Scheduled view.
Select the listings you want to assign rules for.
Select Assign Automation Rules and click Select.
Select the rule you want to assign.
To remove an automation rule from a listing:

From the Rule drop-down menu, select No rule.
Selling Manager Pro subscribers: You have additional options for automating your listings, including the ability to assign automation rules to listing templates. When you assign a rule to a listing template, that rule will apply to all listings created from that template. Using custom description templates
What's a custom decription template?
A custom description template is a saved block of text that you insert from the Quick edit pane into your item description when you work on listings in bulk. It saves you time from retyping text that you use repeatedly in your item descriptions.
For example, if the description in all your listings contains the same sections—such as Warranty details, Sizing information, or other item specifics information—you can format and save these sections to a custom template and then insert the template into each of your listings as you create and edit them using the Quick edit pane of the bulk listing tool.
How do I create and manage custom templates?
In the Quick edit pane of the bulk listing tool, go to the Item description section, click the Insert custom template drop-down menu, and select Create a template.
Enter the name of the template and the text you want to save.
If want to delete or edit a template, go to the Item description section of the Quick edit pane, click the Insert custom template drop-down menu, and select Manage templates.
In the Select drop-down menu select the template you want to delete or edit, and then do one of the following:
To edit the template, update the template name or text.
To delete the template, click the Delete link.
Note: You can save up to 10 custom templates.
How do I use custom templates?
In the Quick edit pane of the bulk listing tool, go to the Item description section.
Enter your item description and position your cursor in the area of the description where you want to insert the template text.
Click the Insert custom template drop-down menu, and select the name of the template you want to insert into the description.
Export your listings to a file
