Selecting the correct item condition is your responsibility and crucial for your listings’ success. If the item condition is inaccurate, your listings might not appear in relevant search results, and you could experience increased returns or negative feedback from buyers, which can impact your seller standards.

In this case, please work with your buyer to resolve the issue and avoid a 'case closed without seller resolution'.

If a buyer requests a return because the item condition wasn’t as expected, we will be offering some temporary protections for ‘item not as described’ return requests.

For sellers whose ‘item not as described’ rates in our service metrics policy are more impacted by the change, we will offer temporary protections to apparel sellers in ‘Very High’. Please continue to handle any returns resolve any open claims to avoid a 'case closed without seller resolution'.

We will also provide free return labels for eligible 'Item not as described' return requests until March 31, 2025. Eligibility is dependent on the ‘item not as described’ return having one of the new ‘pre-owned’ conditions.
