Shops subscription fees and Feature fees for Shops items will remain unchanged. This change only affects Insertion and Final Value Fees for Shop Inventory Format items listed in an eBay Shop. Insertion Fees and Final Value Fees for all other listings are unaffected.

When will the new prices be implemented?
The new prices will come in to affect at 00:00:01 GMT on 22nd February 2006.

What happens to items that 'straddle' the price change?
Items listed or sold before the change, will be subject to the old pricing, and items listed and sold after the change will be subject to the new fees. If a listing is started before the change and sold after the change, the old Final Value Fee will be charged. Once the Good 'Til Cancelled Listing has been renewed with the new listing fee, all subsequent sales will be subject to the new Final Value Fee.

When buyers search for something on eBay, and there are 20 or less results in auction or fixed price formats, they will see up to 30 additional Shop Inventory listings that match their Search, following the regular search results list.

This change will appear onsite during the week beginning 20th February 2006. This is a complex roll out and it may take several days for the new system to appear on site.

When the change is implemented, all matching Shop Inventory listings will be displayed at the end of any and every eBay search on eBay.ie. Shop sellers will see increased exposure for their Shop Inventory items, and buyers will see more qualified listings every time they search. Depending on the number of results shown, the search results could be on page 1 or page 20. But relevant search items will be there. Currently, when a member searches the site, SIF items will be shown 22% of the time. Now it will be 100%.

For example, if you search on "bow tie", you'll see all the normal auction and Fixed Price listings as you did before. But with the new layout you'll also see all Shop Inventory listings matching "bow tie" listed at the end. Listing upgrades such as Gallery and Bold will not be shown for Shop Inventory listings, unless no auction or Fixed Price items are found - then the upgrades will be shown.

What pages will be affected by this change?
The complete list of Store Inventory items will now appear after matching Online Auction and Fixed Price listings in the main eBay search and browse results across eBay.ie. You will notice this change on all Search, Browse, List and Gallery View and Completed Items pages, and in Favourites and Recommendations searches and emails. Cross Shops Search, Search within a seller's eBay Shop, and Seller's Other Items will be unaffected as Shop Inventory items already appear in these areas.

Will any changes occur when a buyer searches within my eBay Shop?
No. All of a seller's listings will continue to appear in their eBay Shop regardless of listing format or site. No changes will be made to how a seller's listings appear or are sorted within the shopfront.

Will any changes occur when a buyer searches on my Seller's Other Items page?
No. All of a seller's listings will continue to appear on their Seller's Other Item page regardless of listing format or site. No changes will be made to how a seller's listings appear or are sorted on the Seller's Other Item page.

How will the sort order work for Shop Inventory items?
The sort order for Shop Inventory items will match the sort order that is applied in the main Online Auction and Fixed Price results. The break between Shop Inventory results and Online Auction and Fixed Price results will be maintained even when the user changes the sort order, and any sort will start again at the Shop Inventory items section.

What happens to the "See additional Buy It Now items from eBay Shops sellers" link and the "Additional Items found in eBay Shops" section at the bottom of the search results page?
Because Shop Inventory items will now appear after matching Online Auction and Fixed Price listings in search and browse results, this link and the Shops section will be replaced with an optional "Shop Inventory items" filter in the Search Options customisation area.

Is there a way to jump to the break between Shop Inventory results and Online Auction and Fixed Price results?
No. There is no way to jump to the break between these sections. Users who wish to only see Shop Inventory items in their results set may apply the "Shop Inventory items" filter which can be added into the Search Options section

Will my listing upgrades show up in Shop Inventory results?
Listing upgrades (e.g. Gallery, Bold, Border, etc.) will not be displayed on Shop Inventory listings within the main eBay search results. The one exception is if no Online Auction or Fixed Price results are returned in the search results; then listing upgrades will appear on Shop Inventory listings in the main eBay search results. Listing upgrades will appear as normal in all other searches on eBay, including the Cross Shops search accessible from stores.ebay.ie or advanced search, a seller's eBay Shop, and the Seller's Other Items page.
