The PowerSeller Programme

PowerSellers are business sellers consistently offering excellent service and professionalism. The PowerSeller programme is designed to help sellers grow their eBay business and to reward those upholding the highest service standards.

Sellers interested in joining need to be registered as a business on eBay and meet the eligibility requirements for sales volume, performance standard, policy compliance and account standing.

What is an eBay Top-rated seller?
PowerSellers who deliver consistently exceptional service are recognised as eBay Top-rated sellers. eBay Top-rated sellers access a higher level of discounts and benefits, including a higher ranking on search results pages and a prominent display of the eBay Top-rated seller badge in search results and on their View Item pages.

In April 2010, the sales requirements to the PowerSeller programme will be reduced enabling more sellers, who consistently provide an excellent service to buyers, to join and to reach eBay Top-rated seller status. As part of these changes, PowerSellers will need to meet the minimum performance standard for selling on eBay.

The new PowerSeller eligibility requirements will include:

1. A lower transaction and gross merchandise volume
2. An average score on detailed seller ratings (DSR) of 4.60 or higher in all four areas
3. A low number of ratings of only 1 or 2 stars on the detailed seller rating score (low star ratings).

As a result of the changes, all PowerSellers will receive either Above Standard or eBay Top-rated seller status and associated benefits from April 2010.
