- Only listings in Euros on eBay.ie will qualify for the 5 cent insertion fee. All listings must be Auction-style listings.
- Any item previously scheduled to go live on Thursday 25th August 2005 will qualify for the 5 cent insertion fee promotion.
- If you re-list an item on Thursday 25th August that had previously closed without a successful sale, the re-list will qualify for the 5 cent insertion fee promotion.

- Any item in Fixed Price (Buy It Now) format
- Items listed in the Automotive (Cars, Classic Cars, Motorcycles or Other Vehicles) and Properties categories.
- Multiple-Item Listings (also known as Dutch Auctions).
- Identical listings that do not comply with our Duplicate Listings policy
- Shops inventory format listings
- Any item listed on 25th August 2005 but scheduled to start after the promotion has finished will NOT qualify for the promotion.
- Only the basic eBay listing fee will be reduced to 5 cents. All other eBay selling fees will still apply, including but not limited to Final Value Fees, Optional Reserve Price fees and all listing upgrade fees such as Bold or Highlight. Click here for full details about eBay fees.
- Those users listing in Auction format but choosing to add the Buy It Now feature will still be charged the Listing Upgrade Fee for Buy It Now at 0.10 EUR per listing.

- If the item is listed in 2 categories, the insertion fee will be caculated as 5 cents multiplied by 2, i.e. 10 cents (0.10 EUR).
- If you revise a qualifying listing created on 25th August at a later date, you will be charged the normal insertion fee, NOT the 5 cent promotional fee.
- If the listing qualifies for this promotion, the "sell your item" form will show that a discounted insertion fee of 5 cents has been charged.
