Listing a product with variations in Selling Manager Pro

In Selling Manager Pro, on the Inventory Product page, click the Create Product button.

To create a product with variations, select the Product with variations option.

On the Create Product page enter:

• The product name (required)

• A custom label (SKU), if you use one

• The folder you want to save the product in

• Optionally, a restock alert and notes to remind you to order more items when they’re close to selling out.

Click the Create variations button to continue. To save as a draft, click the Save for later button.

Select a category, then click the Continue button.

Define variation details. Specify the areas where your product has differences. Select from the list of details or find more by clicking the Add more details link. If you want to enter your own variation detail, select Add your own variation detail.

Example: If you’re selling a product in small, medium and large, click Size and then select S, M and L.

• You can select up to 5 variation details. If a detail doesn’t apply to your items, ignore it.

• When you specify variation details, use common words that buyers will search for, such as size and colour. Buyers will use these details to find your items. You can have up to 60 values for each variation.

• The first variation you select will be the variation that you’ll display in your pictures. Be sure to choose a variation such as colour or sleeve style instead of size or manufacturer.

• When you’re done with this step, click the Continue button.

Select item specifics from the list. Item specifics are characteristics that apply to all the items in the listing. Brand, Manufacturer, and Style are examples of typical item specifics.

Example: If all the items in your listing are made of cotton, select Material from the dropdown menu, and then click Cotton.

• The variation details you defined in step 1 do not appear in the item specifics list, and you can't add them to the list.

  Example: If you’ve already selected Colour as a variation detail, you can’t enter it as an item specific.

• The more item specifics you use, the easier it is for your buyers to find your items.

• If an item specific you need doesn’t appear in the list you can add it by clicking the Add your own item specific button and entering a unique item specific name (such as Manufacturer or Year) and at least one value (such as Acme or 1998).

• If an item specific doesn’t apply to your items, ignore it or click the Remove button.

• When you’re done with this step, click the Continue button.

Review your variations. On the Review your variations page, you can assign a unique name, custom label or stock-keeping unit (SKU) to help you keep track of your product. Select Add a SKU for your item.

• While there are a large number of variations possible, only 250 variations are allowed in your listing.Remove any variations

• If needed, you can add variations to your product by entering them directly in the table and clicking the Add button.

• When you’re done with this step, click the Continue button.

From the list of variations, select the variations you want to include in your template.

Click the Create new template link.

Add pictures and update quantity and price by clicking the Add pictures, quantity, and price button.
