eBay Turbo Lister is a free listing tool to help you create professional-looking listings, as well as upload and edit items in bulk.
Installing Turbo Lister
Before you install Turbo Lister, please review the system requirements.
To install Turbo Lister:
From the Turbo Lister page, click on the "Download Now" link. A list of system requirements displays.
Check that you have all the requirements for Turbo Lister, and then select Turbo Lister Web Setup or Turbo Lister Full Setup. The Turbo Lister Web Setup is recommended because it requires much less space on your hard drive.
At the Security screen, click Yes to proceed.
Note: If you already have a version of Turbo Lister on your system, you should first uninstall your current copy. (See "Uninstalling Turbo Lister" below)
The Install Wizard prompts you for the following information:
Your name and, if applicable, your company name.
Do you want to share this installation of Turbo Lister with others who use your computer.
Do you want to install Turbo Lister in the default location (indicated on the screen).If you want to install Turbo Lister some other location on your hard drive, use the Browse button to
choose that location.
The system will display a message telling you when the installation is complete.
Note: The "Finish" message may open up behind another screen. If you have other screens open, you can minimise them so that you will be able to see the new screen.
The installation program places a Turbo Lister shortcut icon on your Windows Desktop, on the Quick Launch bar and on the Start Menu (eBay > Turbo Lister). If you haven't already launched Turbo Lister, you can do so by double-clicking this icon.
Signing in to Turbo Lister
If you are running the most current version of Turbo Lister, the first time you sign in, or if you add a new user, you will be asked to confirm your identity through an authentication process. Following your sign in, Turbo Lister will be sent a security code from eBay that is valid for 18 months.
This confirmation process is intended to enable users to protect all member accounts from fraudulent attacks. For more protection, you can also choose to enable password protection.
To sign in and confirm your identity:
Open Turbo Lister and enter your user ID and password, if prompted.
Once Turbo Lister has connected to eBay, enter your user ID and password then click the
Sign in Securely
button.
Read the eBay.com - Turbo Lister Authorisation agreement then click the
Agree and Continue
button.
Once you see the authorisation completion confirmation, click the
Close the Window
button.
In the Getting Started dialogue box, select "Synchronise data with eBay" or "Create a new item" then click the
Finish button.
Changing your user ID in Turbo Lister
When your change your user ID on eBay, you will also need to change it in Turbo Lister so they will match. Always change your user ID on eBay first, then change it in Turbo Lister.
Note: If you change your password on eBay, you won't need to change it in Turbo Lister.
To change your user ID in Turbo Lister
Select Tools > Personal Information > User Account .
Updating Turbo Lister
Turbo Lister will prompt you whenever Turbo Lister updates are available. After installing a new software update, you will also be asked to confirm your identity.
To check for updates:
Click Check for Program Updates from the Tools menu. Turbo Lister will list any updates it finds.
Select the updates you want to add, and then click Install Now .
Uninstalling Turbo Lister
As part of correcting a problem with Turbo Lister, one of the recommended solutions is to uninstall and then reinstall the program. The following procedure is typical for most MS Windows users.
To uninstall Turbo Lister:
Click the Windows Start button and Control Panel (you may have to click Settings before you see Control Panel).
In the Control Panel, double-click the Add or Remove Programs.
In the list of installed programs, click Turbo Lister.
Click the Change/Remove button.
During the removal of the program, when asked if you want to remove the application and all of its features click OK.
When prompted to remove the database, you have two choices.
Click No if you want to keep your database (the listings and other information that you have entered into the tool).
Click Yes if you want to discard your database.
Caution: If you click Yes, when you reinstall Turbo Lister you will have no listings and you will need to re-enter you account information. Anything that you have entered, created, or built with the tool will be gone.
You will receive a message when your software has been completely removed. (If you selected No to discarding your database, your db files will still be on your system.) You can now install a new copy of Turbo Lister.
