How can I sell internationally?

There are 2 ways to sell your items to international buyers.

Note: You and your item will need to meet the requirements for selling internationally.

Listing on another country's eBay site

Since your eBay user ID is universal, you can visit any eBay site and list items for sale just as you do on your 'home' site. This allows you to price your item(s) differently and tailor your listing to each specific market.

To list an item on another eBay site:
  1. Go to eBay.co.uk (or eBay.ie).

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page, place your pointer over the British (or Irish) flag, and then click the country where you want to list your item. You'll be taken to that country's eBay home page automatically.

  3. Click Sell at the top of the page, and then create your listing.

Offering international postage

If you offer international postage, your item can be shown to buyers on sites other than eBay.co.uk, including eBay International Market. You can also buy the International Site Visibility upgrade for your listing.

To specify international postage details:
  1. If you're given the option to choose a listing form, select More listing choices.

  2. On the Create your listing page, scroll to the Give buyers postage details section.

Note: If you don't see a place to include international P&P costs, click the Add or remove options link. Under the International postage heading, select Show international services and options, and then click the Save button.

  3. In the International postage section on the listing form, select one of these P&P cost options from the drop-down menu:

    • Flat: same cost to all buyers

    • Calculated: Cost varies according to buyer location

  4. From the Post to drop-down menu, select Choose custom location.

  5. Select the locations where you're willing to send the item. You can select as many as you like. The locations you select will all be charged either the flat or calculated cost for P&P, depending on what you select in step 3.

  6. Under Additional dispatch to locations, select any additional places where you want to offer delivery but want the buyer to contact you to find out the P&P cost.

Note: If you select the same location in steps 5 and 6, buyers in that location won't be told to contact you to find out P&P costs.

  7. Complete your listing by filling in the rest of the form, and then submit it.

Using the international site visibility listing upgrade

You can purchase the international site visibility listing upgrade for some eBay websites to maximise your item's visibility in search results on those sites.

If you're eligible for this listing upgrade, you'll have the option to add it on the Review your listing page before you submit your listing. Make sure you've specified postage options for the U.S., UK, Canada, and Australia so buyers will know what international P&P will cost.
