Reviewing your listing's effectiveness and managing communications from bidders is an important part of the selling process. Follow these tips to keep buyers interested and ensure a positive selling experience.

Checking your listing

After you create your listing:

• Find the item you listed for sale to make sure it appears in search results and is displayed correctly. You can use the Active view in My eBay to do a keyword search on all your listings.

• Check your gallery picture. If necessary, change your gallery picture.

• Answer buyers' questions promptly. Be sure to read the entire email and to respond accurately. Post your answers to any questions in your listing because other buyers might have the same questions.

• Check the status of all of your listings in My eBay. If needed, you can change your notification preferences to receive email updates.

• Consider managing bidders and buyers to block bidders with negative Feedback or who live in areas where you don't ship.

Revising your listing

If you need to make a change to your listing, read Changing your listing. You can do a keyword search to find specific listings, and change a number of listings at once.

The information that you can revise depends on the time left before the listing ends, and whether or not you have received any bids. In most cases, you cannot change the listing format. For example, you cannot change an auction-style listing to a Stores listing.

If you use multi-quantity, fixed price listings, you may be able to revise the listing after a sale. However, you can't change the format, duration, category, or title of the listing.

If you have purchases on your multi-quantity, fixed price listings, you can see the purchases, and information on the listing at the time of purchase, from the Purchase history page. Buyers can see only the item they purchased from the Order details page.
