Entering Your Item’s Location

Entering the postcode of where the item is located makes it available to both global and local eBay marketplaces at no additional cost. Your item will appear in buyers' search results when they sort or filter by location.

Accurately describing where your item is located makes it more attractive to buyers in your local area, as they could save on postage. You'll especially benefit if you're selling large, heavy, or fragile items. eBay buyers prefer to purchase and pick up these items locally.

The location also gives buyers an indication of how long it could take to receive the item.

Please note that it's against eBay policy to misrepresent your item's location. See our Item Location Misrepresentation Policy.
