In three easy steps you can start selling on eBay. If you haven't already registered as a buyer you will need to do so. You must then create a seller's account. To ensure that we continue to make eBay a safe place to buy and sell, you will be asked to provide credit or debit card details and bank account information. This is for verification purposes only. eBay keeps your information entirely confidential and registration is free. To begin the process, click on the Sell Tab at the top of every eBay page. Then select Sell your Item and Create a Seller's Account.

Step 1:
Check your personal details are correct and make any necessary amendments

Step 2:
You will be asked to provide debit card or credit cards details and bank account information to complete the process.

Step 3:
You will then be asked to specify how you would like to pay the fees you incur from selling on eBay. You can either set up a recurring payment method such as Direct Debit Mandate or credit card on file, alternatively at anytime you can make an ad-hoc one time payment using PayPal. What will it cost to sell on eBay?

The only fees you will be charged are directly related to the listing and sale of your item. These include;
  1. Insertion Fee: a non-refundable fee charged to your account when you list your item on eBay. The level of this fee depends on the starting price of your item. Learn more.
  2. Optional Feature Fee: optional features such as Gallery, Bold, Buy It Now, are a great way to enhance your listing and make it more attractive more buyers. The fee is dependant on the on the type of feature you use. Learn more.
  3. Final Value Fee: depending on what you successfully sell your item for, eBay will charge a small % of the final value in fees. This is only charged if the item sells. Learn more.
