Subscribing to RSS Feeds

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML format eBay uses to organise and share types of content that has frequent updates. This includes eBay's Announcement Board, item search, and eBay Blogs. RSS feeds help eBay make content current and category-specific.

Content is organised as a "feed" so you see the latest content you specify. Feeds help us to make content more accessible, and they enable you to easily see new content. A summary or "headline" view lets you quickly scan recent content changes, and headlines are linked to their appropriate content.

How to use RSS

To view content in RSS, you will need an RSS reader or aggregator. You can find various free and commercial RSS readers available for download on the internet. Popular RSS readers include NetVibes, FeedDemon and NewzCrawler.

Once you have an RSS reader, you can click on "Subscribe" links whenever you see the RSS icon RSS icon.

eBay RSS feeds

RSS feeds will be updated based on how often you set your reader to retrieve data from eBay. Usually, you will get new listing information every 30 minutes.

Since many readers cache information and poll at most every 30 minutes, listings that appear on the RSS feed will not have an end time less than 15 minutes from the moment the feed was retrieved.
