Becoming verified on PayPal

What does PayPal verification mean?

A user who is Pay Pal verified has confirmed their identity with eBay and PayPal. Once a seller is verified, it:

  • Increases their credibility with other buyers and sellers on eBay

  • Allows them to list on international eBay sites

  • Raises their sending and withdrawal limits on PayPal

  • Provides some sellers with higher seller limits (eg. new sellers or those selling in high risk categories)

This higher level of verification is designed to reduce fraudulent or counterfeit items on the site, with the result that all eBay members will be able to buy and sell on eBay with confidence.

  2. Click the Get Verified link under the heading Activate Account

  3. Enter your bank details and review the PayPal direct debit agreement
