eBay.co.uk Motors Picture Services Fees
From September 29th it will be free to add up to 12 images to your eBay Motors listing. The current fees (first picture free and 12p (inc VAT) extra for each additional picture up to a maximum of 12) will no longer apply.

eBay.ie Motors Picture Services Fees
From September 29th it will be free to add up to 12 images to your eBay Motors listing. The current fees (first picture free and €0.15 (inc VAT) extra for each additional picture up to a maximum of 12) will no longer apply.

To take the removal to these fees into account, the price of the Picture Pack option (which gives the option to add more pictures, a slideshow, supersize your images and free Gallery) will be reduced from €1.30 (inc VAT) for 6 extra pictures and €2.00 (inc VAT) for 12 extra pictures to €1.00 (inc VAT) for 12 pictures.

Will there be changes to Basic Listing Fees?
The only change to Basic Listing Fees is for Multiple Items as noted above. There are no changes to the Basic Listing Fees for selling individual items.

Will there be changes to Final Value Fees?
No, Final Value Fees are unaffected by these changes.

When will the new fees come in to effect?
The new fees on eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie will become effective as of 00:00:01 (one second after midnight GMT +1) on September 29th, 2005. Listings that begin after midnight on September 29th, 2005, will be charged the new fees, regardless of when they were created (for example, through a listing tool such as Turbo Lister or through the Sell Your Item form using the scheduled listings feature).

If I list an item just before midnight on 29th September 2005, will I be charged the new fees?
If the listing is confirmed before 00:00:01 (one second after midnight GMT +1) on September 29th, 2005, the old fees will apply. Please note that it may take a few minutes to confirm an item listing, so an item may be submitted before midnight, but not confirmed until after 00:00:01 on September 29th 2005. This would result in the item listing being charged the new fees.

Why is eBay changing fees?
eBay carefully evaluates the pricing structure and, from time to time, determines that some prices should be increased and others should be reduced. These changes are undertaken after careful evaluation and analysis into the effect these changes will have on the marketplace as a whole and the individual sellers who comprise it. We believe that these changes are the right thing to do to ensure the continued success of eBay and the health of the marketplace.

Can members expect additional fee increases later this year?
Like every business, we continually evaluate the cost of business across all sites and may occasionally change fees if the business necessitates it. Naturally, as we introduce or upgrade more optional features to the sites, there may be charges associated with the use of these features. If we change fees, we will notify members as prescribed in the User Agreement.
