7 November 2006eBay Motors today announced the appointment of Emma Bristow, previously Loyalty Strategy Manager at Volkswagen Group, to the newly created position of Trade Manager, Motors. Emma has eight years experience in the bluechip automotive sector, working with leading manufacturers such as Volkswagen and Audi.
The new role was created to build and manage relationships with car dealerships as eBay Motors expands its offering for professionals selling on the site. eBay Motors Pro, the recently launched bulk listing tool, enables dealers to put their stock quickly and easily in front of the site’s 3.7 million potential buyers, substantially increasing sales leads.
Claire Gilmartin, of eBay Motors says “Emma brings a broad range of experience to the eBay Motors team. She will drive value into motor retail for both the customer and the dealer by extending eBay’s ownership of the online car market.”
Commenting on her new position, Emma says, “The new role will allow me to build a ‘Dealer Community’ with eBay Motors, to explore business opportunities. This will in turn provide the consumer with even greater choice and convenience”
Prior to joining eBay Motors Emma Bristow has specialised in fleet strategy, company car programmes, and both strategic and operational management.
